Take advantage from a word
How to effectively express yourself in written form or during a public speach
Taking the role of a source of knowledge, we face the need to effectively communicate our ideas to the audience either in written form or verbally. Tips on how to write and speak strongly will support you in this endeavor.
Writing
No matter what way of communication you choose, you will need to prepare a text: report structure at the webinar, its announcement, article, presentation content. Here we provide a set of universal rules that will help your to take advantage from your words.
Principles of a good text
Brevity
Short words.
Short sentences.
Short paragraphs.
Unambiguity
No ambiguity - use only simple sentences, the meaning of which is available to the reader
Keep the style
Getting rid of excess, adhere to literary norms, no vulgar or vernacular expressions
Simplicity
Replacing "complex" words with simple synonyms. Spare your text from clericalism.
Do not exaggerate
Refuse the exaggeration. Underestimation as opposed to exaggeration looks more advantageous
Respect
The reader may know less than you. Consider this fact.
Public speaking
Did it happen to you that you spoke, but were not listened to? Or maybe your voice is not loud enough by its nature? Perhaps, sometimes you forget words because of the stress during the speech? Be sure that oratory is much about the skills: here we share with you the tips on how to talk so that your speech remains in the memory of the audience.
Principles of a public speech
Breathe by the diaphragm and speak as you exhale
We are used to breathe by the lungs. Sound with such breathing is less expressive.
Try putting your palm on your stomach. Inhale the air so that the stomach grows larger and your palm comes forward. As you exhale, say the phrase. Feel how much sound is brighter than usual? Practice diaphragmatical breathing and use this technique when communicating with the public.
Point the message
Your audience should understand your goals and the reasons for their relevance. Tell it it in a structured, clear and comprehensive way.
Pronounce clearly
Swallowing sounds and words is unacceptable in public speaking: a speech should be clear. Pay attention to this. If necessary, practice pronouncing tongue twisters while holding a wine cork in your mouth (the most common form of diction training among broadcasters and actors!).
Mind your body and gestures
It is important that your body is in a relaxed position, the posture is even, the expression on your face is consistent with the message.
Eye contact
During the presentation, try to establish eye contact with each of your listeners
Don't read your text
When reading a text, your speech changes its pace, and also you lose contact with the audience. Better prepare a speech plan and build your story using it.

However, remember that your main goal is to help people become better by sharing their knowledge with them, and it is more important then impressing them with your intelligence and charisma.
